We’re proud to be the official gym partner for the British Heart Foundation.

It’s estimated 1 in 2 of us will have a heart or circulatory disease in our lifetime.

Through our partnership we are collaborating on a number of projects that will help make a genuine difference to the health of the nation, both today and in the future.

We’ll also be sharing support on how you can improve your heart health and reduce risk through exercise and nutrition.

Heart Health

We all have one, but sometimes we can take it for granted until something happens to us or those close to us.

Through our partnership, we want to shine a light on the importance of keeping a healthy heart and provide you with support and information to encourage some small changes you can start making to lower your risk of heart and circulatory diseases.

Get moving

Just 20 to 30 minutes of exercise a day can make your heart stronger. It can reduce your risk of developing heart and circulatory disease by up to 35%, lower your blood pressure and improve your mental health. If you're just getting started in the gym, we've got plenty of workout inspiration and advice for you. Get started.

We offer free blood pressure checks to all our members. Routine blood pressure checks are the most simple and effective way of spotting high blood pressure, which is associated with around 50% of heart attacks and strokes.

Speak to a member of your local gym team to arrange your free check today.

In all our 370+ gyms we have boxes for members to donate their preloved items to BHF retail stores. All sales go towards funding lifesaving research.

So far 2.4 tonnes of your donations have been diverted from landfill, equating to 24,425kg of C02 emissions avoided.

We have introduced a 'micro donations' option for all members when they sign up, with a choice to give an ongoing monthly amount of 25p or a one-off donation of 50p to the British Heart Foundation.

Many members are now choosing to donate this way which really makes a difference.

All our PureGym staff are CPR trained, and all of our gyms have a defibrillator to assist in an emergency. You can see the full details of all our gym safety protocols on our TrainSafe page.

 About TrainSafe
